On April 16, 1977, at the Aladdin Hotel (that has now been demonlished), in Las Vegas, Nevada, fought on a National televised boxing card, that featured Lavonne Ludian vs. Teresa Kibby.  This was a rematch for the two.  What many people do not know is that these two boxers were offered a $15,000 deal by Bob Arum of Top Rank who was the promoter of this card.   He had seen the two have a great fight at the Silver Slipper, in a four rounder and decided to put the female bout on this card.   The deal that was offered was that these fighters would sign for one yerar and guaranteed 15,000 whether they fought or not.  The first fight would be so much money and it would progress making to the amount of $15,000 for the year.  Unfortunately when this fight took place, the offer never materialized.  Another issue that was never revealed about this fight, was that Lavonne Ludian was sick with the flu when this fight took place, but she was a true champion and fought anyway.    Photo copyrights: Boxing Illustrated, 1977
