(MAY 2) Recently, I had the chance to spend time with Sheree Johnson, a filmmaker, cinematographer, and editor of the upcoming “Hit Like a Girl” Docu-Series. She traveled all the way from Florida to Portland, Oregon to meet up with me. Sheree is currently working on filming this exciting Docu-Series, which will showcase several talented female boxers including Laura Ramsey, Terri Moss, Carisse “Taz” Brown, and many others. I must say, Sheree’s dedication to promoting women’s boxing and her involvement in various projects is truly inspiring.

Sheree is based in Clearwater, Florida. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Sheree is known for her creative talent in utilizing digital video and photography to craft compelling narratives across various genres. She has successfully produced and directed music videos, commercials,
documentaries, and short films, collaborating with crews from the Tampa Bay area and beyond.

A dedicated visual storyteller, Sheree excels in all stages of the filmmaking process, from pre-production to post-production. Her work has been featured in prestigious film festivals such as TBUFF, Global Film Festival Award in Los Angeles, DIFF, and SCFF. Notably, she received the Honorable Mention Best Cinematography award for her film “Data File” at The Global Film Festival and received the DIFF 2023 Peace and Love Award.

Beyond her filmmaking endeavors, Sheree is actively involved in community service supporting various charitable events and initiatives through her photography and videography skills and volunteered as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters for many years. She is also a valued member of WIFT Tampa/St. Petersburg, serves on the Film Tampa Bay Advisory Board, Media Chair for the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Foundation and Uptown Music & Art Festival.

As the founder and CEO of Image Masters International Inc., a certified woman and minority-owned business, Sheree continues to drive excellence in producing, directing, and editing high-quality video content. Her passion for visual storytelling is evident in her ongoing projects, including the documentary series “Hit Like A Girl” and an upcoming TV series scheduled for production in late 2025. With a versatile skill set in camera operation, editing software, and a collaborative spirit, Sheree Johnson remains a rising star in the world of film-making.

I am looking forward to seeing the “Hit Like a Girl” Docu-Series in 2025!
